The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ was established in 2004 to be responsible for the design, construction, delivery and asset management of infrastructure projects and public buildings in Qatar.
Ashghal contributes to achieving Qatar National Vision 2030 by developing the country’s infrastructure according to the highest approved standards, to become one of the world’s most advanced countries in this field.
Ashghal is working on the Local Areas Infrastructure Programme which will deliver numerous roads and integrated infrastructure projects in local areas, in addition to the Expressway Programme, drainage projects, and healthcare, educational, and general buildings projects. Ashghal also manages the operations and maintenance of all of Qatar’s roads and drainage systems.
Within Ashghal, Asset Affairs manages the operations and maintenance of all roads and drainage systems. Tracking of the location and configuration of these assets, together with effective execution of both planned and proactive maintenance, is critical to Ashghal’s mission to provide a customer-centric service to all citizens and residents of Qatar.
